The staff were wonderful, and I found the place clean and comfortable enough that I’d happily stay again. It was also about half the price of the other Edenton options I considered, so it felt like good value. The rooms do look faded and stained in places, and the property needs updating, so it’s not a top-of-the-line hotel. But improvements are underway. My TV was huge and brand new, with its box still in the lobby, and the toilet had clearly been replaced with a nice one. The front desk clerk explained that they can’t remodel everything at once, but keep reinvesting in the rooms. I wasn’t disturbed by the condition and didn’t find it dirty. I’m hoping to live in this community in the future, so I’ll be glad to see the place continue improving. Best wishes to the owners, and keep it up.

The room was clean, and the woman at the desk was very nice. The pool being closed was a real disappointment. We were told something about the manager being away and the pool needing vacuuming, but the desk clerk hadn’t been told. She should have had that information and let us know when we checked in, though it wasn’t her fault.

We needed a wheelchair accessible room, but were given the wrong one. It wasn’t clean, the heat didn’t work, and there was no hot water. The housekeeper was very rude too.
