During my four months here, the hallways and lobby stayed immaculate, and I never noticed unpleasant pet smells in the building. The staff handled any problems that came up with real professionalism. Jillian, Jessie, Joel, Evan, and Tony, thanks for making the stay so pleasant. This was the best Extended Stay America experience I’ve had.

I needed somewhere for the night while I was in town, and this spot worked well. There were several restaurants nearby for dinner or breakfast, and Walmart was close enough to pick up groceries for the kitchen in the room.

We thought we were being careful when we booked two months at The Extended Stay America Suites Boston - Westborough. My partner, our dog, and I had moved from Texas and had no idea how long finding a home near Boston would take. The online photos looked nice, its reviews seemed a little better than other Extended Stay America Suites nearby, it said pets were welcome, and the rate was under $100 a night. The place looked nothing like those pictures. The room was small, and the building was overrun with mold and mildew. The kitchen was basically a camp burner, and the tiny microwave made a terrible scraping noise. The blankets were thin and itchy, so we tucked them between two sheets to get comfortable. One weekend they had no clean sheets or blankets left at all. When we arrived, I was told about a pet fee I hadn't really understood. The first week came to $832.26, then each following week was $745.08. That wasn't what I'd agreed to online, though at the time it didn't seem too awful. Then we closed on a house this morning and no longer needed the extra 29 days in November. Trying to pay for one more night, we were told checkout would cost $479.82. I was shocked. It worked out to $143.08 per night at Extended Stay America Suites - Boston - Westborough, more than the mortgage on my 4-bedroom, 3,000 sq. ft. home. I thought I was saving a little. Instead, I paid quite a bit to put my partner and dog through 30 days of hell.

My things were in the room when housekeeping threw them away, and I still haven't been reimbursed. Whenever I ask to speak with the manager, they never put me through. The lobby staff haven't been helpful either. The whole place smells like old, stale cigarette smoke. One of the worst experiences of my life. I wouldn't recommend staying here or spending your money here.

It's handy if you want somewhere quiet off the highway, with major stores close by. Parking is easy if you have a car, and there are lots of handicapped spaces, automatic doors, and an elevator. Without a car, you'll need Uber or Lyft. The rooms aren't always quiet, though, it depends on the neighbors, season, holidays, and so on. I like being left alone for my computer appointments, research, and studies. The service has been excellent for me, thanks to GM Tony Staiti and his professional, conscientious leadership. During heavy snowfalls, I've seen Tony out shoveling and clearing around the building himself. I also want to mention two people on the team I've gotten to know well. Evan at the front desk usually arrives later in the day, so you might not see him earlier. When you do, say hi. I've watched him handle guests and his other tasks skillfully and carefully. Even when he's busy with a guest, supplies, or coordination, he notices when I come or go and always says something. He's observant and respectful. Sometimes I look over at the desk and don't see anyone, then Evan pops out to tell me I have mail or a package. With so many people in the building, I don't know how he remembers. Some of it is junk, but sometimes it's important, and I appreciate him looking out for me. Good job, my guy! Nealan/Neilan (sp?), the maintenance associate, is pleasant and easy to talk to, even when he's busy. He'll take a moment to chat and is willing to help guests with essential needs promptly and carefully. He's knowledgeable about devices, home repairs, equipment, DIY projects, and even family advice. His suggestions have helped me with lots of things. I bought a small plunger on his advice, and now I don't have to ask the front desk for their big one every week. Ask him about maintenance. His advice is useful and on target, and he gives it with a welcoming smile. Some newer team members are doing well too. I don't know them as well, but they seem to be fitting in nicely.
