Jackson made us feel at home from the start, after we called to book our rooms. He became our best friend, chatted with us in the evenings, helped us figure out the island, and suggested places to go. He really wanted to hear about our day and whether there was anything else we should see. I’d come back just for him. The breakfast cooks were lovely too, and breakfast was great, especially the best scones I’ve ever had and the homemade cookies every day. The location is handy, just a block or two from all the restaurants and bustle. We had five wonderful nights, and everyone was friendly and helpful. Stay here if you’re ever on Martha’s Vineyard!

The rooms and linens were clean and fresh, and the little details made it feel like a home away from home. Jackson, aka “Jonathan” (an inside joke), won us over right away. He’s a joy to work with and a real asset to the Hob Knob, with phenomenal customer service. The kitchen staff were also polite, friendly, and accommodating. After this visit, my family and I plan to choose Hob Knob Boutique Hotel again next time we’re in Edgartown.

We stayed four days at the Hob Nob, two while on a biking trip and two more after it ended. Abby and Jackson from the management team went out of their way to make the stay special, and were engaging and helpful the whole time. It’s a quaint luxury boutique hotel that feels like an upgraded B&B, with quiet spots to sit and talk and a private outdoor area. Breakfast was exceptional, and the small kitchen team gave it a lot of care and personal attention. Downtown, the waterfront, and several good places to eat are all within walking distance. We’ll absolutely stay at the Hob Nob again when we’re back in MV. Thanks to everyone there for making the visit so memorable.

Those scones are one of the things I look forward to most, along with the delicious breakfasts, cozy rooms, and quiet nooks where I can read, have coffee or wine, and unwind. I’ve stayed at Hob Knob several times, and it’s become my second home on Martha’s Vineyard. Abby, the cheerful and very accommodating innkeeper and manager, is a big part of that, as are the charming, clean rooms and great location. My one service complaint is that breakfast orders were often wrong, apparently because of a language barrier with the dining room server. I dislike peppers and asked every morning for none in my veggie omelette or burrito, but they were in my eggs each time. The meals were so good that I just picked them out and didn’t complain. Everyone is friendly and lovely, and the rest of the service is top-notch. If you have allergies or strongly dislike an ingredient, be very careful when ordering and check your food before eating. I’m looking forward to many more visits.

I’m on the island year-round and have stayed at the Hob Knob many times over the years. It’s a real gem. Abby, the wonderful GM, sets a warm, professional tone as soon as you arrive. You can easily walk to Edgartown’s shops, galleries, and harbor, then come back to a peaceful retreat. The rooms are lovely, with thoughtful details, and the team really cares. Breakfast is excellent, afternoon tea is a treat, and the atmosphere is effortlessly elegant. I keep coming back.
