The furniture looked nice, and the location was fine, but the room itself seemed badly neglected. The door and bathmat were in rough shape, and the bathmat could easily have been replaced. There were two heaters: one didn't work, and the other was tucked behind a sofa blocking the airflow. I moved it out as far as I could, but it kept switching on loudly every 15 to 30 minutes and waking me through the night. The constant fan setting might have helped, but it didn't work. I also woke up coughing every morning, maybe from dust or mold coming out of the heater. Check-in was a problem too: there was no one at the desk and no note saying they'd be back, so I had to call to get somebody to come.

The room was clean, and the setting was quiet and pretty. My husband and I are from FL, and we enjoyed our stay despite some quirks. There aren't always staff around during the day, and definitely none after 8 pm. Breakfast is free from 7:30 to 9:30 am, but a sign says not to take food out. Another sign in the room says to keep the sliding door closed because bugs can get in. Those notices didn't feel very welcoming. Housekeeping and fresh towels are only provided if you ask, and there's no elevator, so keep the stairs and your luggage in mind.

The rooms have lots of storage, and the AC and heater both worked well. Mine was large and very clean, with a nice view over a small bay. There is a lot of traffic noise from Hwy. 1, so keep the doors shut. One thing to know: the sink is in the main room, while the shower and toilet are in the bathroom. Fresh towels and an emptied wastebasket were provided daily. The heated pool was advertised, and we hoped to use it, but it clearly hadn't been cleaned in a long time.

PLEASE DON'T STAY HERE. “Unauthorized Personnel” went into my friend's room and stole his girlfriend's necklace from the bureau. Housekeeping wasn't supposed to enter unless requested. They never got the necklace back, and the cameras caught the housekeeper going into the room. This happened in September 2025. The hotel employs thieves.
