Red Roof Inn Edgewood

Ayanna made check-in easy and helped me earn points for my membership. The rooms were clean, the rate was great, and getting checked in was simple. I'd recommend the hotel if you're traveling from Delaware to Maryland or Virginia.

Christine gave excellent service and went out of her way to address my concerns. The room was clean, the bed comfortable, and the pillows decent. They don't skimp on towel size. The shower does run out of hot water, though. For a Saturday night, it was pretty quiet, and for the money it was a good value. As a traveler, I appreciate the effort.

We were exhausted, and the beds were clean, but this stay still wasn't great. The floors had little scraps of paper on them, like nobody had swept. We booked for three and found only two towels and two washcloths. When we asked for more, we were told laundry wouldn't open until 7 a.m. The coffee setup was missing its basket, and there was only decaf. The creamer packets were so old they curdled in my coffee. We also had to go to the office to get the TV remote. We usually like Red Roof, but this one needs new management.

Win at the front desk was really friendly in the morning and pointed us to a gas station. Billy from maintenance even fixed our car, and didn't expect a tip. We'd gotten a flat tire and pulled into the right roof in at 4:30 a.m. The woman who greeted us was polite and gave us a room, then extended our stay through Sunday. Other hotels down the street wanted to charge us more and make us check out at 11 a.m. They definitely saved the day.
