Best Western Plus Edmonds Harbor Inn

We slept right through the night, helped by the quiet street and how peaceful the room was. It was spotless, breakfast was fresh and filling, and the staff were warm while remaining professional. Check-in was quick and everything ran smoothly. For the price, the comfort and service are hard to beat. I’d gladly stay here again.

We got in late, after most nearby restaurants had closed, and the staff offered us a bagel from the kitchen. They were so kind and helpful after a long day, and when we left an item behind, they promptly contacted us with next steps. I wish I remembered the employee’s name. The only little snag was that the waffle maker timer didn’t work, but my waffles still came out great.

The breakfast included here is better than at many similar hotels, with real plates and cutlery. We had a pleasant room with two queen beds for our occasional girls’ night out, though the green smoke alarm light above my bed was so bright I had to cover my head with a pillow to sleep. Some front desk staff are responsive, while others seemed to be having a rough day.

The night ended with us checking out immediately after sunrise, exhausted and frightened. My wife and I didn’t sleep after a guest in Room 345 came to the adjoining door around 2:30 or 3:00 AM, pounded on our locked door, tried the handle, and yelled, “Turn down the TV!” Our TV was off. I called the Front Desk and asked them to check the neighboring room for our safety. When I called back shortly afterward, the staff member said he had gone into the room and found nobody there. He had checked the wrong room. I thought he should have known which room was next to ours and gone to the right one. I regret letting Edmonds Harbor Inn staff handle what felt like a threat instead of calling the Police. In the morning I complained to the Hotel Manager, requested a refund, and checked out. Kimberly McIntyre, Front Office Manager, showed no sympathy and called both my wife and me liars to our faces when we said the TV hadn’t been on. She offered only half our room fee back, saying there was no reason to refund it all. This was far beyond an uncomfortable mattress. We didn’t know whether we were in danger, and Guest Satisfaction/Hospitality clearly wasn’t a priority at BEST WESTERN PLUS® Edmonds Harbor Inn. Worst hotel stay we’ve ever had.
