Best Western Lone Star Inn

We paid $124 after the online price showed $110 a night, and this place isn’t worth that for one night. The room smelled of mildew and damp clothes, and the blankets felt wet and sticky all night. I woke up to an earwig on the bed and several more in the restroom. The rooms are outdated, too. We needed a room in the middle of the night, and the lobby looked pleasant enough, but the lady with red hair couldn’t give us a working key. She had to let us in twice, then we got locked out at 9 a.m. and had to leave because the key still didn’t work. 5/10, wouldn’t really recommend. A rip-off.

The towels smelled awful and the shower leaked. Breakfast was supposed to run until 10, but when I came down at 9 they were already putting everything away, so I felt rushed to finish. The food wasn’t good, and there was hair in my daughter’s juice. Terrible experience!

The place smelled terrible and was disgusting. Breakfast was advertised as free from 6 to 9, but I stayed from the 30th to the 31st and the older man at the front desk said he put it all away at 7 because nobody had eaten. At 7 a.m.? It felt like a lie, and I couldn’t smell any food, so they don’t provide free breakfast. Their policy says pet friendly but excludes emotional support animals. The strange young girl at check-in said there’d be no fee, but when I called the owner at 5:15 in the morning he got angry and refused to understand, then became unprofessional. Stay away from this disgusting, unprofessional roach motel. Just keep driving.

It was quiet, and the room was very nice. We did have to ask for extra coffee pods and towels.
