Best Inn & Suites

After just one night in room 209, I woke up with bed bug bites covering my back. The room had a damp, bad odor, and the hotel seemed infested with both bed bugs and roaches. It feels like a health hazard and I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The place is so run down it shouldn’t be operating as a hotel, it should be demolished.

The rooms were surprisingly large and pretty nice, and the price was good. The Indian fellow at the front desk gave great customer service. I know this isn’t a five star motel, but I was pleasantly surprised and would stay again if I’m in the area.

The staff made checking in and out easy, and they were friendly throughout. I was there during a festival, so things were lively, but the soundproofing kept the rooms quiet. There was also great live music in the bar area in the evenings.

The rooms look neglected, with dirty writing on the walls, broken and moldy molding, and bathroom tiles that are chipped, missing pieces, moldy, and rotting away. The towels that are supposed to be white were grey and black, and I’m pretty sure nothing in the rooms gets cleaned. There are bugs, loose stair railings, and taped-on key card readers. Some doors don’t lock at all, so anyone could get into a room. Tanya is supposed to clean, but I haven’t seen her do it, and she’ll steal your stuff. They blame the homeless people nearby, but the safety hazard is the lazy employee Tanya not doing her job. She should worry less about what’s happening outside and more about the rooms paying guests have to stay in. This place shouldn’t be allowed to charge people or operate as a hotel.
