Fairfield Inn & Suites El Centro

For a quick couple of nights, this is a clean, comfortable, friendly hotel. The staff were professional and welcoming after a long day, and the common areas and rooms were well kept. Breakfast was standard eggs, meat, and waffles, but did the job. The hotel seems to have been renovated a few years ago, so it feels fairly fresh. My main concerns are for longer stays: there's no microwave in the room, the mini-fridge is tiny, and the functional furniture is showing its age. The rooms are also quite dim, which isn't great if you need bright light to read or work. A reliable choice for a short stay, but the lack of meal prep options and small fridge would put me off staying longer.

The pool and gym were well maintained, and the whole property seemed very well cared for. Our room was spacious enough, and the king bed was incredibly comfortable. It was peaceful too, with no loud hallway sounds or street traffic. We had a fantastic stay at the Fairfield by Marriott in El Centro, and I'd recommend it if you want a reliable, clean, quiet spot.

Breakfast was great, and the staff were very helpful. It's a nice, clean place in a wonderful location, with plenty of stores and restaurants all around.

The renovation looks good, and the front desk staff were sweet. Our room phone was sticky and unplugged, though, and the dresser drawer kept sliding open by itself. That black coffee table was a dumb idea. I banged my knee on it three times in one night!
