The floor looked like it hadn’t been mopped in months, and the room reeked of cigarette smoke. It had clearly been marked clean and ready, so this may just be their usual standard. I can’t tell whether we were a one-time exception, but it was by far my worst hotel stay. I don’t understand how it’s still operating, since I wouldn’t expect hotel chains to accept cleanliness this poor. I do feel bad for the owners, but that’s honestly how it was.

I’m an amputee, and there was no bathtub in my room, so the next day I asked for a shower chair. After a full day of work, I was told they didn’t have one. I asked to move to a room with a tub, but was told there weren’t any. When I asked whether they were required to provide something for someone who needs it, I was told it wasn’t their policy. The bathroom also had hair all over the shower floor and large cobwebs. Whoever cleaned that room needs to be taught again how to clean for paying guests. We arrived around 1 a.m. and rang the bell for at least eight minutes with no answer. The front office phone rang for about five minutes before someone came through a back door, apparently just woken up.

No one came to the office to check us in, even after we rang the bell several times. Another guest was trying to check in at the same time, and after half an hour we both had to leave. When I disputed the charge, the manager told hotels.com they had tried to contact me about a refund. hotels.com sided with the manager, so I got no refund for a service we never received. Stay away.

I was disgusted by this stay. There were cockroaches and clumps of hair all over the floor. The bathroom wall had nasty yellow stains that I assumed were urine. The sheets were dirty, the pillowcases had footprints, and food had collected in spots on the floor. There were even sausages and milk left in the fridge. This has to be the dirtiest place I’ve stayed.
