Western Motel

The room was old and dirty, and the AC barely worked. It smelled like cigarettes and other things. The owners seemed to live there, but after we paid, they didn’t seem to care how our stay was going. Cheap, dirty, and the service was horrible.

I rented there back in the 80s, before it was remodeled, and the staff were always pleasant and caring. I stayed again five years ago, when my brother lived next door, and it was awesome. No complaints.

I’ve stayed here twice for several days while traveling for work, and people from my company have stayed too. We’ve appreciated the clean rooms, quiet surroundings, no drama, hot water, cold AC, comfortable beds, and welcoming staff. I feel safe here, and it’s easy to get to. The owners are very sweet and work hard to make guests feel welcome and comfortable. They ask if you need anything and what they could improve. From the outside, it’s a small place without the flair of the big name hotels, so it’s easy to pass by. That would mean missing out on one of the most comfortable places you’ll find. I’m looking forward to coming back.

There was no hot water. My girlfriend had to wash with lukewarm water from the sink because that was the best we could find. There was only a bedsheet, no blanket, and the room smelled strongly of bleach. The walls were thin enough that we could clearly hear the neighbors watching TV and snoring. It felt like a budget room and was reasonably clean, apart from a fly left inside.
