Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites El Dorado, Kansas by IHG

Breakfast was frustrating. The staff were chatting in the back while the eggs, omelets, and potatoes had run out, and with breakfast served for such a short window, going 45 minutes without the main hot dishes is ridiculous. At check-in we also learned our room above the bright entrance lights had no blackout curtain, so it stayed bright at night. The desk staff were kind and apologetic, but neither they nor we knew why there was no curtain.

Michael Ann made me feel right at home as soon as I arrived. I’d booked in the app, and the front desk had contacted me beforehand to ask about requests. I asked for a first-floor room for convenience. Thank you!

The bed was really comfortable, and the room was great. Breakfast had an excellent smorgasbord, too. I had a very pleasant stay, everything was five stars.

A lot of things in our room weren’t working. We were told repairs weren’t being done because that wing was about to be shut down, gutted, and redone. The employees helped as much as they could with the situation, and hopefully future guests will have a better experience once it’s been redone.
