We could sleep comfortably here for a low price, but the place needs repairs. The location is convenient for Mexican food, and In-n-out is six minutes away. There was enough parking, although arriving late could mean a long walk to your room. Our room fit four comfortably, with two queen beds, a small fridge, table, storage, TV, and working AC and heater. It was clean, but smelled strongly of smoke despite being meant to be smoke-free. The bathroom was clean but needed major work: the shower handle was broken and hard to use for adjusting temperature or turning the water on and off. The tub was very slippery, as was the floor after showering. Towels came in different sizes but weren’t big enough for adults, and there weren’t enough for four people. During our three-night stay, the beds were made and toilet paper restocked each day, but the floors weren’t vacuumed. The facility is old and kind of dirty inside and out.

The price is really good for what you get, and the place is fairly clean. Rooms are small but adequate. There’s a $5 deposit for the room key. You get shower curtains, little towels, and basic shampoo and conditioner packets, but no hair dryer. Nights can be pretty loud from traffic and the room upstairs.

The new owners have done a very nice job cleaning things up. The place is newly refurbished, the staff are friendly and helpful, and I’ve stayed overnight here four or five times without any problems. It’s been quiet and tranquil. What matters to me is feeling safe, having a clean place, and being treated with respect and hospitality. There’s always a mix of people wherever you go, but I’m glad the new management improved the property. A year ago, I wouldn’t have set foot here. There was too much unsavory activity, frequent police interventions, prostitutes and drug dealers loitering and soliciting out front, and it was a gangster’s paradise. To each their own. I’m just giving my honest review.

We stopped for two nights on a road trip. The place served its purpose, but next time we pass through, we’ll look elsewhere. There was no cleaning service during our stay, and the shower temperature kept changing every few seconds, making it hard to shower comfortably. They also require a cash deposit for the key. Our ground-floor room was noisy all night. People kept coming and going from other rooms, talking outside our window, and fighting in the rooms. You really get what you pay for here.
