Comfort Suites El Paso Airport

The bed was comfortable, which is the most important part, so that earns an extra star. Still, I didn't like this place. The room smelled like sewage and felt unclean, with hairs in the bathroom. There were no cameras outside, so I didn't feel safe leaving anything in the lot overnight. Breakfast was the worst.

My room was bigger than usual and had a nice sectional couch. I loved this hotel, it was clean and bright, and the Texas-shaped waffle was a fun surprise. The broken luggage cart was my one complaint. One side lifted up and it had no bolts. It was clearly broken for a long time. That thing needs to be taken out back and shot!

The room layout doesn't work well. The armoire blocks one bed's view of the television, and there are only a couple of hangers. Staff seemed poorly trained and generally unhelpful. The 24/7 store is nearly empty, just Gatorade, Diet Coke, some Ramen, and no bottled water. They should stock sodas, water, and snacks from the grocery store. I forgot to mention the mold and rust in the bathtub, and those awful cube pillows are ghastly. This place needs major work and better management. I don't think I'll return.

I stayed a few nights for a military reunion at Fort Bliss. The hotel is affordable and close to the Airport in EL Paso, TX, but the rooms are updated and need updating, especially the bathrooms.
