The location is convenient and the room was spacious, but the late checkout mix-up was handled badly. At check-in, I asked for extra time and was told I could stay until 1pm. At 11:25 the next morning, someone was banging on my door and ordering me to leave. He insisted checkout was at 11:30, even though it wasn’t that time yet. I understand the confusion might have been different if it were past 11:30, but he was rude and didn’t apologize for the staff giving me conflicting information. Everyone should know the checkout policy, and guests deserve courtesy when they’ve been misinformed. He made me feel as if I’d done something wrong.

The carpet left black soot all over my baby's hands and knees. Everything felt filthy. They shouldn't be open until the renovations are finished. Don't waste your money here.

The third floor was full of trash, and some rooms up there smelled like urine. I’m absolutely sure homeless people live there. There were no locks on the rooms or the side entrance, so anyone could come and go day or night. Outside that entrance, someone had left human feces in a grocery bag. Near the snack machine, the floor was covered in rust and dirt and looked as if it hadn’t been cleaned in years. There were caution tape going up some stairs, with no explanation. Even the donuts had yellow stains on the backs of their sealed paper wrappers. They advertise a pool, but it’s closed, apparently for two years, and they say they offer free breakfast even though there wasn’t any, despite having a breakfast room where they should be cooking. One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in. Don’t be fooled by the ads, and don’t stay here.

We didn’t stay after learning the elevator was broken and we’d have to carry our heavy luggage upstairs. We didn’t want to risk hurting ourselves. The worn lobby bathroom didn’t help. They accept service animals without a fee, have good parking, and are close to shops, but we chose somewhere else. They didn’t offer any discount for the elevator being out.
