Tranquil House in Cambridge

The bed was so comfortable, and the place was both cozy and spacious. It was very clean, with a well-equipped kitchen and a big fridge for groceries. I enjoyed staying there and would book again.

Checking in was simple, and Mark and Kitty were very welcoming. The house was nice, I had no problems, and I'd recommend staying here.

The beds were comfortable, the owner was sweet, and the place itself is cute. It's the full upstairs of a duplex, with the owners downstairs. Street parking was adequate, and it's a pleasant 30-minute walk to Harvard Sq, while Mt Auburn Hospital and Cemetery are very close. The big problem is the lack of soundproofing. Four construction workers staying upstairs got up early and made breakfast in the kitchen just outside room 4, which has two double beds. Room 3 sits right by the front door and also opens onto the bathroom, so it functions like a pass-through when occupied. Bring toilet paper, since there was only one partly used roll to share.

Kitty was quick to respond and very helpful, and her house worked perfectly for our family. The first-floor apartment is a bright, spacious three-bedroom with one bathroom, plus a fourth room with a single bed. The kitchen has granite counters and good Keurig coffee. It's very clean, and although the furniture is older and the style isn't modern, it's comfortable. We liked the beds and pillows, and the body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were higher-end. The neighborhood is quiet. You'll need a car or Uber, but the savings on Kitty's place should still make it worthwhile. Harvard Square is a quick drive or Uber ride away. Highly recommend, and we'll be back!
