Days Inn La Grange

The front desk staffer was really friendly and set me up with a ground-floor room for under $60. The room looked clean at first, but it smelled strongly of Febreze. I got used to that after a while, then noticed the fitted sheet was on upside down. I couldn't help wondering why a maid would put it on that way. The underside seemed clean enough, so I stayed the night, but I won't return.

I was here for four days while my truck was being repaired, and had a great stay, despite the negative reviews I'd seen. The room had a microwave, refrigerator, flat-screen TV with lots of channels, good air conditioning, and strong Wi-Fi that let me stream movies. The ice machines worked, too. Breakfast was a basic continental spread with a waffle maker. It cost $60 a night including tax for one person. There weren't many outlets, which was my only small complaint. I'd stay here again.

The manager cursed at me and yelled, then said he had no clean towels and was kicking me out because I had too many complaints. I was asking why the rooms weren't even vacuumed. My company won't stay at this garbage motel again. I'm a car hauler and Marine veteran, and being thrown out of this roachtel after raising basic concerns was disgusting. The first room had sticky floors, cracked lampshades, filthy sticky mattresses, hair on a pillow, and a cigarette smell despite being marked non-smoking. I asked to switch rooms, but the next bathroom stank and had a leak on the floor. The refrigerator was rusted and had so much ice buildup that it would make "Ice Cube" jealous. A neatly folded towel by the tub had a dead spider inside and smelled like fecal matter. I asked the manager if he cleaned the rooms, and he said yes, lol. Enjoy your stay :)

The air conditioner was propped up with tape and cardboard, and the lobby was hot, too. Roaches were all over the bathroom, and the bed covers were torn. They also raise the rate whenever they feel like it. Worst hotel ever.
