The room was clean, the coffee was good, and breakfast had the basics. The gym was nice and clean, and the place has felt welcoming. My only issue was the lack of outlets on the nightstand between the two queen beds. Maybe that's just how the double queen rooms are. It might be minor for most people, but it made it hard for my husband to sleep with his CPAP.

I booked and paid upfront through Priceline, then switched from the Home2 Suites across the way because its pool was out of order and our kids wanted to swim. We had a lot of luggage, so the boys asked Home2 Suites if they could take the hotel carts to Fairfield and bring them back. They were given permission. When we checked in, Melissa at the front desk said she couldn't rent us a room because her manager said no. I asked why and wanted to speak to the manager, but got no explanation beyond the hotel could choose who stayed. No manager came to talk to me. I was told to get a refund from Priceline and that I'd be penalized for canceling. Melissa said the manager was busy, then said he'd be busy all day when I offered to wait. I asked for Marriott's corporate number and was told they were privately owned. It was a huge inconvenience. I eventually found out they thought my kids had used the Hampton carts, not the Home2 Suites carts, even though we had permission. The hotel profiled me, and that's absolutely wrong and bad business. Melissa was very rude, and shame on the manager. My family and I use Marriott a lot, but we'll never use their hotels again. Shame on you, Fairfield Inn.

The assistant manager was very rude. They changed our suite to a regular room without telling us, then said they were overbooked. She said the state weightlifting championship was there and we could check out and find somewhere else. I told her that if I'd known before arriving, I would've booked elsewhere, but by then everywhere was sold out. She's not suited to management, and I hope the owner sees this and realizes she shouldn't be in that role.

The morning and evening staff were great, the room was clean, and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious too. A+++++

This was the best Fairfield Inn stay we've had in more than 25 years of staying at them. The seven-year-old hotel is in great shape. We were pleasantly surprised by the green chile breakfast burrito, and the coffee was good quality and really fresh. We had a nice, quiet NYE.
