Hilton Newark Airport

Taishla (Tai) gave our family wonderful service, from check-in through helping with a few issues. I'm so thankful for her professionalism and kindness. Having her at the front desk during our stay was a breath of fresh air in customer service.

We arrived around 1:30 a.m. after misjudging how long we'd be in the city, and the staff were quick and efficient. We came back to the pantry a few more times around that hour for necessities, and everyone at the check-in desk stayed friendly and helpful. The beds were super comfortable with their weighted covers, and the hotel was very quiet and well located. The airport shuttle was amazing. It runs every 20 minutes from the hour, which didn't sound like much, but it worked fine for us coming and going during a rush. The pantry has everything from Advil to food and laundry pods. Definitely recommend it, and we're ready to come back.

Service was fantastic, but this is one of the poorer Hiltons I've experienced. The lobby has a shimmering, gilded look that makes the rooms' lackluster condition a surprise. The restaurant has better food options than similar hotels, though there's nowhere in the lobby to sit with a direct view of the outside doors or shuttle. In the room, the bedside lights seemed to be missing their diffusing covers and were blinding when I lay down. The body wash was nearly empty, and there was dirt or mold on the shower ventilation. Towels were kept in the shower, which seems like a mold or mildew risk and something I'd expect more at a lower-end hotel with normal-sized showers. The coffee maker and glasses were awkwardly placed inside a drawer.

The shuttle was the quiet hero of my stay, running reliably between the terminal and lobby. With a trip that went NJ → San Fran → Palo Alto → home for a breath → then Florida, those little efficiencies mattered. Food options were solid and convenient, exactly what I needed before a 6 a.m. departure, even if it wasn't a culinary pilgrimage. And thanks to Hilton and the team for upgrading my room ♥️ The room was practical and comfortable, with crisp sheets and a desk for working, ordering room service, or watching taxiing planes out the window. Soundproofing worked well, the difference between rest and regret at an airport hotel. The place is built for departures, not pretending to be a beach resort. The Hilton at EWR is close enough to feel the runway rhythm while still letting me get a decent night's sleep. After a long drive across Jersey toward westbound skies, check-in was smooth and uneventful, just the quiet efficiency you want when your mind is already halfway to California. The lobby had familiar Hilton polish, clean lines and soft lighting, with business travelers on laptops and flight crews moving through. It's not flashy; it understands its job, to reset travelers, feed them, and get them back in the air. Dependable, clean, and efficient, a good launch pad when you're flying from EWR and need predictable comfort before the next horizon. Sometimes steady is exactly what you want when the world is moving fast.
