Days Inn Elk City

06/07/2026. The rooms are old, so I can't honestly give it five stars, though I'd still stay here again. The front desk woman with a couple of facial tattoos was incredibly nice and full of helpful information. She almost earned that extra star by herself. Truck parking was among the best I've used, with lots of space, good condition, and spots close to the rooms. It was very cheap in a good way. The town is small and doesn't have much to do, though that's not why most people pick a hotel like this. I'd gladly come back if I'm in the area.

We were crossing the country and needed somewhere clean for a good night's sleep. After finding another hotel in Elk City, Oklahoma full, its attendant pointed us to America's best value in in elk city. It was clean, very affordable, and in a good location. Shawna at the front desk was friendly and accommodating. Highly recommended.

This is a Budget hotel, so don't expect a mattress like one you'd get at a place that costs twice as much. The rooms are clean and roomy, the shower has good pressure and hot water, and there's plenty of bathroom counter space. The bar on site allows smoking indoors, so keep that in mind, but it's an easy, inexpensive place to get a nightcap. For me, the standout is the huge gravel lot beside the regular parking. If you're pulling a box truck and trailer for the first time, parking and getting on or off i40 is remarkably easy.

We got there around 8 pm and headed out early the next morning. The building is clearly old, but our room was spotless and the beds were really comfortable. Even the towels were unexpectedly soft and fluffy. The woman at the desk was lovely and explained where and how to park for our room. There are smoking rooms, and you can smell a little smoke in the lobby, but ours was non-smoking and smelled great. Breakfast was grab-and-go, though we didn't try it. The pool was closed for the season but looked nice. Easy to find, right off the interstate.
