Elk Forge B&B Inn & Day Spa

The room had a comfortable bed, a clean bathroom, and an awesome whirlpool, but the rest of the house needs serious care. The windows and deck need cleaning, the dining room tables were dirty, and the back stairwell carpeting was disheartening and badly needed vacuuming and a proper clean. The house needs fresh paint, and our room had peeling walls that need repair. The five-bulb chandelier was dusty with only three bulbs working, and the ceiling vent needs cleaning. The owner and his daughter were extremely nice, and we wish them success. Still, the breakfast was a huge disappointment. Bed and breakfasts stand out for pastries and homemade baked goods, and this was more like something we could have had at Comfort Inn. If scrambled eggs are what's being served, it should be described as a continental breakfast. This historical home needs money put into repairs, maintenance, and cleaning to bring it back to its heyday.

I was already worn out on the drive from Savannah to Philadelphia and needed somewhere at the last minute. The host made the booking easy and was incredibly accommodating. My room was quiet, clean, and comfortable, just what I needed after a long day behind the wheel. Breakfast was amazing, and the innkeeper who made it was thoughtful and super friendly. The stay felt peaceful and relaxing. I had a wonderful time at Elk Forge Bed and Breakfast and would definitely recommend it to anyone passing through or wanting a comfortable, charming place to stay.

The proprietor was so kind and helpful, and we really enjoyed the breakfast, grounds, atmosphere, and location at Elk Lodge. We had a lovely long weekend and will definitely stay again!

My husband and I booked a night for a romantic getaway and added the romance package. The room had rose petals and candles, plus a gift basket with Grey Goose stem glasses, a large bottle of apple cider, lotion, bath salts, chocolates, a sweet beanie baby, and more. We also loved the whirlpool bath. We had a few conversations with the owner, who makes you feel like family in a fun, Grandpa kind of way. The Inn has a lovely free breakfast, with indoor or outdoor seating to choose from. There's also a room where you can buy stunning antiques and tea at an affordable price. Each room in the building has its own personality, with beautiful scenery, stunning antiques, and hand painted artwork on the walls by the owner's wife and a very talented Ukrainian artist. The Elk Forge Inn is full of beauty, charm, and sophistication. My husband and I will be back for our anniversary!
