Four Points by Sheraton Elkhart

I barely got any rest. After midnight, the fire alarm went off, and although it turned out to be false, a fire truck arrived a few minutes later. I finally fell asleep, but around 3:30 a.m. people next door started fighting, shouting and slamming doors as if nobody else were there. The walls are paper thin. I called the front desk twice; I could hear someone knocking on their door over and over. Things quieted down briefly, then got loud again. Never again.

The staff made the stay stand out. They were welcoming and helpful, gave us detailed directions for places outside the hotel, and explained the amenities and services while checking if we had any questions. They also knew the surrounding area well, which made getting around Elkhart easier. Four Points by Sheraton Elkhart was spotless throughout, from the lobby and guest bathrooms to the parking lot. My room was especially clean and exceeded my expectations. It felt like management paid close attention to keeping the property in good shape. This was one of my best hospitality experiences in a while, thanks to the clean surroundings and the genuine care from the team. I’d recommend Marriott Bonvoy for the consistent quality across its hotels, and Four Points by Sheraton Elkhart is a strong example. I’ll be back on my next trip.

Coffee and hot chocolate downstairs were a nice touch, and my room was clean and pleasant. Antonia was excellent at her job, and I got a warm, friendly welcome. A really nice hotel.

The room and property were very clean, but the shower was a problem. The pan is extremely slippery and steeply sloped, and neither glass door stays shut, so I had to wedge a face towel in. It seems this has been an issue for a while and previous guests may have reported it. The front desk clerk also came across as unprofessional. I saw her shaking her bottom outside as I left for dinner, and smoking heavily when I left and came back. This place needs proper management.
