Holiday Inn Express & Suites Elkhart by IHG

We felt special from check-in to checkout, and the employees were polite, professional, and caring. They also acknowledged us as IHG one reward Members. The rooms were clean, the internet worked great, and the pool was well maintained. Breakfast offered lots of choices for everyone. I’ll certainly return to Holiday Inn Express & Suites, Elkhart-South.

Watch your checking and charge accounts closely if you book here. Better yet, go somewhere else. I should have paid $556 total for my two reservations, but they took $556 out on the first night, then another $308.06 and another $150. No one on staff could explain the extra charges. That first night, they said there was nothing they could do and that corporate “left it up to them to explain what was going on even though they didn't understand what was going on.” They kept saying the charges would drop off. They’d better, or I’m going to be inside somebody’s office. Having more than $500 extra taken from my account wrecked my weekend, since I needed that money to enjoy it. I won’t be back to Holiday Inn. I won't get the money back until tomorrow, Tuesday.

The customer service was wonderful, and I loved that. The bed was comfortable, but the room was raggedy and made me feel unsafe. The sink was cracked, the door had no latch, and someone walked in while I was in bed. The entry light was out, and the smoke detector kept ticking. There were holes in the bathroom wall that made me wonder if there were cameras, and the tissue was see-through. I took pictures.

The front desk staff were warm, professional, and attentive to every detail, making me feel welcome right away. Service was outstanding from check-in to checkout, and I had an excellent stay at Holiday Inn Express & Suites. Elkhart-south. I recommend it and look forward to coming back.
