Sleep Inn Elkhart North

The floors throughout were stained, dirty, and gross, and one room hadn’t even been cleaned when we arrived: the bed wasn’t made and the shower was dirty. We’d booked three rooms a month ahead, including two with tubs, but none of our booked rooms were available. The rooms we were given only had showers. My house only has a shower, so I’d been looking forward to soaking in a tub. One room had no towels, and there were none in the pool area either. We had to use the room towels, but still didn’t have enough for everyone. When I called it poor customer service, I was told they couldn’t give me any towels and to go away. They said they had none to give us. Wow.

The breakfast was better than I expected, and the whole place felt safe and relaxing. My stay at Sleep Inn Elkhart was a great experience. It was clean, well cared for, and welcoming, and Rimon and David were friendly, attentive, and quick to help. Solid hospitality and guest care.

After my husband picked up a shovel, the staff came out to clear the walkway under the portico. We’ve both been careful since a couple of people we know slipped and broke bones. The rooms were clean and comfortable, with extra pillows. Breakfast is usually varied and okay, but during the major snowstorm there were two days in a row with very little to choose from. The sign apologized that there’d be no hot breakfast, except waffles, and we were told supplies hadn’t arrived. We managed to drive on the nearby roads each day. Another guest told the front desk that people book here for breakfast, and that it wouldn’t take much to get cereal or sausage links.

I still haven’t seen the refund after more than a week. I had to move rooms three times because they were disgusting, and one had something gross in the bed. I asked for my money back and the hotel refused. My dad called Choice Hotels, and a woman there promised me a refund. The owner then called Dad and tried to argue, but eventually agreed to refund me. If they don’t return my money, I’m going to expose them. I have photos and everything.
