Comfort Inn Elko

We were happy enough with our first stay that we chose the same hotel on the way back, and the second visit was just as good. I’d stay here again. It’s not spectacular, but I don’t need spectacular. The room and bathroom were clean, the bed comfortable enough that I slept very well, and there was no lingering cigarette smell. That was a relief, since many Nevada hotels, even in nonsmoking rooms, smell of old cigarettes and air freshener. The included continental breakfast was basic, but I had no complaints. The outside setting looked a little concerning when we arrived, though nothing was actually wrong with it. We only needed a clean room, a reasonably comfortable bed, and a clean shower for our one-night stop on the way to Montana, and it was a very pleasant stay.

The rooms could use updating, but Lupita was incredibly kind and helpful. We were dealing with a family tragedy, and she arranged rooms close together on the same floor for us. She went above and beyond.

The room was comfortable and clean, and the free breakfast was surprisingly good. The only mishap was someone setting off the fire alarm at midnight, then leaving after arguing with someone else in the hotel. I can’t blame the staff or the hotel for that.

Staff were very attentive, and breakfast was good with lots of options. The rooms were clean but need updating. The pool and hot tub were decent, though the pool could’ve been warmer. The hot tub jet controller didn’t work, so the jets weren’t working properly.
