My truck broke down on I-90, leaving me stuck overnight. Andy, the tow truck driver, pointed me to this nice motel with reasonable prices. In the morning I enjoyed the coffee, OJ, muffins and bagels. Lois was helpful, and said I could fish in the lake behind the motel next time I’m in Ellensburg. The TV channel selection was good, too. They turned a major hassle into a pleasant stop.

They’ve updated the rooms recently, and the Wi-Fi works well. Still, don’t expect much comfort for the price. The beds are hard, and the sheets slip off since they aren’t fitted. My non-smoking room had a noticeable smoky smell. Breakfast was the skimpiest “continental” spread I’ve seen, just a couple of pastries and no meat.

The morning view from the back was amazing. Rooms are nicer than your average motel, and the bathrooms are nice, too.
