Comfort Suites San Antonio North - Stone Oak

Our room carpet had a few stains, but everything else was very clean. The hotel was quiet and nice, the beds were comfortable, and breakfast had plenty of sausage and eggs, plus cream cheese. The elevator sounded like it could use some help, though we had no problems with it.

I forgot my favorite pillow in the room when I checked out, and since I live far away I figured it was gone for good. I still filed a lost item request because I really loved it. A few days later they called to say it had been found and they could mail it back. I paid the shipping, and it arrived today. Thanks to mike and the hospitality staff for taking that extra step. I've stayed at several Comfort Suites and usually find them clean, comfortable, friendly, and reasonably priced, but Comfort Suites stone oak is my favorite now because of how they treated me.

My confirmed reservation was canceled without a credible explanation, reportedly by the owner, who is also the General Manager. That leaves me questioning the management standards here. A confirmed booking should mean something, and leadership's actions make me wonder what standards the rest of the staff are held to. The way this was handled felt dismissive and unprofessional toward paying guests. Our cards were charged the full amount, but nobody told us when, or whether, the money would be refunded. Canceling the stay while keeping the charge without clear information about reimbursement is unacceptable, and may warrant escalation, including a complaint to the Better Business Bureau. Anyone considering this hotel should be cautious. Based on my experience, a “confirmed reservation” here offers little assurance. What horrible business practices.

The parking lot seemed secure and was well lit. The mattress in Room 109 was just right for us, neither too hard nor too soft. This was a perfect place to stay before an early procedure at TSAOG, with an easy, quick drive.
