Hampton Inn Ellensburg

The place itself was nice, and most of the staff were friendly. The general manager was the exception. When I asked whether I could mention the names of the employees who treated me with respect and made the stay feel like family hospitality, the GM responded rudely. Breakfast was disgusting. The gravy tasted soapy, the oatmeal toppings were clumpy, the brown sugar was gone and the other toppings were nearly empty. The oatmeal had dried out on top, so I had to stir it. The GM's attitude and the food made for a disappointing stay.

The free breakfast runs from 6 to 10 am, with hot items, fruit, pastries, coffee, juice, and more. There are also drinks, including soda and beer, snacks, and travel basics for sale in the lobby. Our room was well kept and had a small fridge and microwave. Hampton Inn Ellensburg is right off I-90, fairly new, and very clean. It welcomes pets and even provides a little pet goody bag. We had a very pleasant stay.

Christine went out of her way to help us get a refund after a major travel website canceled our reservation with the hotel chain without telling us. We found another room at the hotel easily, but getting the money back from the booking site was proving difficult, and her documentation helped. Then the next morning, she was making breakfast herself because someone had called out sick. Great service. We'd stay here again.

Douglas greeted everyone warmly and hosted breakfast each morning with a smile. The rooms were clean, and the staff were friendly and really helpful. Great all around. I plan to come back and recommend it to friends and family.
