Towneplace Suites Denver South/lone Tree

The beds were comfortable, the staff were fairly friendly, and breakfast was great, with the best food service I've had. The bathroom needed a better clean, especially the walls. It would be nice to have a water cooler in the lobby for filling bottles, maybe with orange slices. Just be aware that sometimes they blast music at 6 a.m.

At the end of January, my wife and I were here in 35-degree weather, but the room was 74, so we had to run the AC. Maintenance told me it was because our room faced the sun. We were on the third floor and could hear lobby music as well. The coffee pot and microwave were broken. Not worth $2 a day, go somewhere else.

Breakfast had lots of variety each morning, and the place was nice and peaceful for a stay.

We were excited when we checked in because the hotel looked fairly new and the location seemed good. Instead, we got a handicap room with very little counter space in the bathroom and a small walk-in shower with cracks and black residue. I asked to switch rooms, but the front desk said the hotel only has eight two-queen rooms, so this was what we were stuck with. The woman at the desk rolled her eyes at my disappointment and didn't seem to care. We'd stayed at two other hotels in Colorado that weekend that were five-star experiences, and we'd picked this one thinking it would be better than the Castle Rock locations. I wish we'd just stayed in Castle Rock. This place isn't worth the drive or the savings.
