I came to town for a weekend hunting trip and picked this inexpensive motel for the night. When I arrived to drop off my bags, there was a strong cat odor. I figured I could put up with it for one night, but after hunting all day, I found large tears and what looked like semen stains on the sheets when I turned them back. I asked the desk attendant for a refund, and he first said they didn’t give refunds. He changed his mind after I said I’d report the photos I took to the Better Business Bureau. When he inspected the room, he noticed I’d used a hand towel and charged me $25 for it. I explained I’d needed to wash and dry my hands after touching the dirty sheets, but he didn’t care. I should have read the reviews first. Avoid this place.

I found a small bullet on the floor while sitting on a blanket and playing with my nine-month-old grandson. He puts everything in his mouth, and that was the last straw. Before that, the first room smelled strongly of smoke despite my request for non-smoking, and it didn’t look clean. The second smelled better but still had cobwebs, stained towels, a dirty coffee pot, broken furnishings, and a refrigerator that froze my food. After using the Wi-Fi, my computer also stopped booting properly. The pictures are misleading. I won’t stay here again.

This is the least expensive hotel nearby, and dated decor doesn’t bother me. The mattresses do, though. They’re old and lumpy, and you can feel the springs, which made it hard to sleep well. Adding memory foam pads could fix the problem without replacing every mattress.

Truck drivers should stay away. I called four days before check-in and was told the truck parking area would be plowed, but it wasn’t. I got stuck and had to pay $411 to be pulled out. I hope my clutch wasn’t damaged. The manager said there was nothing he could do, and the tow operator said this had happened to others too. I got my money back and went to the Econo Lodge, where the room was much better. I should have gone there first. There’s nothing I liked about this place. I wouldn’t even give it one star, but the system required a rating to post this.

The second night was quiet and relaxing, with no party upstairs, so it turned out better. The first night was rough: our TV wouldn’t work until they brought in a replacement, and there was a party in the room above us all night. There were mosquitoes and other bugs too. I’m not sure we’ll stay again.
