SureStay Hotel by Best Western Ellensburg

Our son is autistic and very curious, and the room felt unsafe for him. We had him sleep in his wheelchair so we could feel sure he wouldn’t get hurt. We unplugged the phone and put it out of reach, unplugged the lamps because their plugs kept falling out, and moved the clock up high because he kept trying to play with it. The hotel has good amenities and strong wheelchair access, including an accessible floor reached by a gently sloped ramp, accessible rooms, and level flooring that was easy to navigate. The pool was quite cold, but the hot tub was comfortable. It was also very quiet despite the central corridor. The location gives the property potential, but it badly needs a proper remodel.

The room was dated but very clean, so kudos to the cleaning staff. The front desk workers were courteous both evening and morning. Breakfast was simple but adequate and well organized for the room rate. Convenient location and a reasonable price. I didn’t try the pool.

Night clerk DJ was easily the best part of our stay, very friendly and kind. We needed three beds for three people, and the room worked well: it had a queen bed, a fold-out sofa, two chairs, a kitchenette, and an extra rollaway bed. There were good things about the stay too.

It’s a comfortable, clean place to sleep, with friendly enough staff and comfortable beds. Being beside the freeway and close to services is handy when you’re traveling, and the price is usually reasonable. Nothing fancy, but worth a stay.
