The location right in town was great, and the place was quiet and accommodating. Check-in was quick, and the front desk clerk was kind and helpful. She suggested a good spot to get food, and helped again in the morning. The included breakfast was a real plus.

We paid over $200.00 a night because we wanted somewhere near Acadia with a kitchen so we could make our own meals. The rooms were nice and clean, though pricey. The kitchen had no stove or oven, and there's no elevator. Staffing was thin. One night a sign said there'd be no night staff and the front doors would be locked. Another morning there was no breakfast server, so the front desk person put out a few items. In the eight days we stayed, newspapers were available for only three days. Housekeeping doesn't come into the room. That may suit some people, but we had to take out our trash and fill out a form to get supplies like toilet paper. The Wi-Fi was slow and often lost its connection.

We liked the kitchenette in our room, and the fitness center was spacious, clean, and updated. The staff were friendly, and the daily full breakfast made it easy to get going before a busy day out. The location and price also worked well for visiting Acadia National Park and the surrounding area.

The staff were kind and apologetic, but when we left early after three nights and asked for a refund or credit for the two nights and three days remaining in our reservation, they refused. We had many problems and were unhappy, yet they wouldn't refund the unused time. It felt like we were being made to pay for something we didn't want. I can't recommend this place. The room smelled bad when we arrived, and the sheets were stained. My spouse and I had trouble breathing, and with a rock-hard bed and flat pillows, we barely got a few hours of sleep between us. We gave it another night and asked them to change the stained sheets and linens, which they did promptly, but the smell stayed. The walls and windows were paper thin, so even in a relatively quiet area we could clearly hear neighbors and cars in the parking lot at night. The hotel advertises being close to Bar Harbor, free breakfast, and free Wi-Fi. Bar Harbor was over a 30 minute drive away. At breakfast, key items such as milk and cream cheese were left unrefrigerated, which seemed like a serious food safety risk. We could connect to the Wi-Fi, but it dropped almost as soon as we got a steady connection, making laptop work impossible without cellular data.
