Baymont by Wyndham Longview

We used to stay here because it was clean and pleasant, even if it wasn't fancy. This time, the property was overgrown and under construction, with trash and broken beer bottles on the ground. Our non-smoking room reeked of old cigarettes. The desk wouldn't offer another room, saying we probably wouldn't like that one either, but offered to spray the room instead. I cancelled and called three times for a refund, but couldn't reach the manager. It seems like management has changed, and I won't stay there again.

I spent about two weeks here recently and had a really pleasant stay. The front desk people and housekeeping were all nice, and my room was roomy, with comfortable beds, clean carpet, and linen without stains. That mattered a lot to me, especially with my little girl staying with me. The pool wasn't clean enough to swim in, but that won't keep me from coming back. I definitely will. Thanks to everyone for making the stay a good one!

The area was quiet, with enough grass to walk the dogs, though stickers had taken over most of it. They do allow pets, but I was charged twice what the property's stated pet fee was. The room needs serious updating. The beds were comfortable, but the sheets were stained. It wasn't an awful stay, but I won't choose it when we're back in the area next year.

Nothing about the service worked well. Staff were unprofessional and unwilling to help, and the front desk was often unattended. I had to walk around several times before finding an employee to check me in. Breakfast wasn't provided despite being advertised. The rooms were small and dirty, the sheets weren't clean, and the hot water was barely warm. The AC worked, but there was no heat.
