Hempstead Country Inn & Suites

The only real drawback was the limited choice of things to do and places to eat nearby. We stayed because we planned a day at Jellystone Park, even though we live only about an hour and a half from Waller, and wanted to turn it into a short vacation. The inn is so peaceful that all we could hear were crickets, and we weren't bothered by other guests or the managers. It's on a long country road with little traffic and plenty of space between places. Our family of four stayed two nights, and the owners were the sweetest people. The inn is adorable and beautiful, with amazing scenery, a white fence around the property, and open fields and trees stretching out beyond it. The room wasn't fancy, but it was cozy, clean, and well kept. I'd go back and recommend it if you're looking for a quiet place to stay.

We had Thanksgiving with our children on the deck and outdoor tables, gathered around the fire pit to stay warm and cozy. It felt like a perfect home away from home. The grounds are lovely, quiet, and country-like, and the family and staff were wonderful. The rooms were beautiful, the bed comfortable, and I loved the pillows. You don't need to pack much because there's silverware, pots and pans, and dishes. I can't say enough good things about the place. We'll definitely return when we're traveling that way.

After a tough day driving in the rain, we found the room clean, comfortable, and relaxing. But the owners' help is what we'll remember most. Our car trouble kept us from reaching the Inn on Sunday night, 9/26/16. Lynnice personally drove out to pick up my wife and her luggage and take her to the Inn, while I waited with the car on a dark street for over an hour for the tow service. As I waited, her husband Dan kept driving by to check on me. When the wrecker finally arrived, he drove me to the room. That was service beyond excellent, and we won't forget it.

The bed was really comfortable, and the people were friendly. Breakfast options were okay, though nothing special. It's out in the country but close enough to town, and it's a very nice place to stay. I'd definitely come back.
