Super 8 by Wyndham Lakeland

It was great to see the same friendly, helpful staff again, along with the freshly remodeled rooms. The new carpets, paint, bathrooms, sinks, and showers made them look completely new, and they were very clean. This hotel is a hidden 💎 for the price and value. In today's world, it's hard to find this kind of quality among all the pricier hotels in this big ole city. I definitely recommend it, and give it 8 stars on a 5-star scale! It's Super 8, Open Late, with a Cracker Barrell and a Waffle House just a short walk away. Take exit 20 and turn right off the expressway. This complimentary stay came through the Wyndham Rewards program, where I'd earned enough points for multiple free nights after staying at this same hotel for a large part of three years, from 2021 - 2024 after the Plandemic that forever changed our world.

It's the usual Super 8 experience, and everything is just good enough. Whichever room you get, it smells like cigarettes. I tried the Super Start Breakfast and found two cereal dispensers full of fruit loops. Amazing. With a few slices of bread, tiny muffins, and a DIY waffle maker, I can say breakfast was anything but super.

The beds were firm queens, and the place seemed clean with no bed bugs. But there was a strong chemical smell, and a roach came out to say hello when we checked out. The AC and heater were acting up around 12am-3am, and loud kids upstairs were jumping and playing until 1am.

I come here semi-frequently even though I live nearby, mainly to get away from the stress of the day. For the price, it's the best hotel in the city. The beds are comfortable, rooms always clean, everything works as it should, and the staff are polite and very helpful. It's a great place whether you're traveling or just need somewhere to chill for the day. I especially like the privacy. It's near lots of things but tucked far enough off the beaten path that I don't feel scared whenever I walk outside. 10 out of 10, I'd recommend it to anybody. If you see this, keep up the good work and don't ever change. You're perfect just like you are.
