Rodeway Inn and Suites

The pool area was lovely and relaxing, and I’ve already booked my next stay. Christine and Miguel were professional, friendly, and excellent. The room was partly clean, though there was still some trash on the floor from previous guests. Housekeeping came in while I was away on business and refreshed the towels, but the trash was still there. It was very affordable.

The room was clean and had the usual soaps, towels, and washcloths, though the bathroom door wouldn’t close all the way. That wasn’t ideal since my husband and I were sharing the room with his father. My son also found a strange piece of trash that looked pretty old. Still, I’d probably stay again if I’m in the area, hopefully in a room with a bathroom door that shuts. It was quiet in terms of other guests, and there’s a gas station right nearby for a quick snack or gas. The front desk worker was really nice and had welcoming energy, which is great when you’re traveling. It’s definitely not the worst hotel around. A lot of rooms were closed off and looked like they might be under repair, though that’s just my guess.

The staff were pleasant, the room was clean, and breakfast was good. But the room smelled moldy, and slats were sticking out underneath the beds to keep them steady. One scratched me. There’s only one ice machine for the whole hotel, and it was very noisy. It was fine for one night to sleep and leave, but I wouldn’t stay longer.

The price was good, but the room was very dirty. The toilet didn’t seem cleaned, had trouble flushing, and leaked. There were no TV channels or other information in the room. Worst of all, after pulling back the blanket, we found a dead bed bug on the bed. We checked the rest of the sheets and underneath them and didn’t find any more, but we decided we’d wash everything as soon as we got home. I learned you get what you pay for.
