House on the Hill Bed and Breakfast

We had a lovely two night stay. The room was comfortable, the setting peaceful, and breakfast delicious. My favorite part was eating the tasty homemade breakfast on the front porch, with a lake view. The people serving us were so sweet. We'd gladly return and highly recommend the place.

Our first visit to House on the Hill and Ellsworth, and I'm so glad we found this place. The views were amazing, the rooms spacious, and the beds really comfortable. Breakfast was different each morning and delicious. The decor felt a little dated, but everything was clean, and they're doing a major renovation with upgrades this winter. We'll definitely be back.

A simple gift certificate led us to this charming bed and breakfast, and otherwise we might never have found it. My husband and I came back from our vacation with a new appreciation for B&Bs. The hosts and innkeepers were warm and hospitable, and every breakfast the chef prepared was outstanding, made with locally sourced food and farm fresh eggs. Kudos to the whole staff for showing us what the right B&B can offer.

Marci and Phil were lovely hosts, and we really enjoyed our two nights at House on the Hill for a wedding nearby. The property was beautiful, our room was comfortable, and breakfast was delicious and different each day. We had pleasant chats with the other guests at both breakfasts. Our favorite part was heading down to the lake to use the paddle boards and canoe. The water was beautiful, with lots to explore. There isn't central air, but a portable air conditioner was provided. We left the windows open all weekend, and the cool weather meant we never needed it. We were surprised that the mattress, which I believe was king size, was two twin mattresses together on one king sized frame. Even so, we slept great both nights. It was our first bed and breakfast stay, and we had a great experience.
