Drury Plaza Hotel St. Louis at the Arch

Amanda at the front desk was wonderful. I accidentally booked the wrong date while road-trip delirious, and she kindly helped me get the same room for the same price. She also walked me through the hotel features and made me feel welcome. The breakfast crew was great too. The spread is like at most Drurys, with lots of options and good execution. I loved the gorgeous building, its interior-facing rooms and inaccessible sitting areas, a liminal-space lover's dream. The design feels late 90s with modern updates, and I wouldn't have it any other way. The clean, relaxing pool room had adult contemporary playing almost too quietly to hear, and those jacuzzis saved my life, I swear. My one complaint is that, like all Drurys seem to be, this is very much BYOB, meaning bring your own blanket. The beds are extra firm, which isn't my preference. Still, an amazing stay, and I'd happily return.

We loved our three-night stay. The location was perfect, within 15 minutes of everything we did, and there was a very nice gym and pool. In the room, the microwave and mini fridge were really convenient. I also appreciated the security, which helped us feel comfortable the whole time. The continental breakfast and Kickback food added a lot to the experience. Highly recommend!

The secure parking garage was a big plus, and check-in was easy. The woman at the desk was extremely nice. The pool had lots of kids, which is to be expected. With the Arch and ballpark just steps away, the location was perfect. We'll stay again.

The food is the highlight here. Breakfast is freshly prepared, with eggs cooked to order in front of you, and the evening 'Kickback' is basically a multi-course dinner with free drinks, up to three alcoholic beverages. Rooms were spotless and service was exceptional, and Drury has become our go-to for future trips. We even got a complimentary upgrade to an Arch-view room just by asking. Signing up for Drury Rewards seems worthwhile, since the stay from the previous night at another location appeared in the system right away. There are laundry facilities and a pool on one of the top floors, either the 8th or 9th. The basement parking felt standard for a city, even though some reviews say it's tight. We managed it fine in a 7-seater SUV by taking it slowly. Tip: get your room key at the front desk before driving into the secure garage, since you need it for access.
