The staff were VERY friendly, and the location felt safe. It’s an outdated motel, but you get what you pay for. The worn-out mattress needs replacing, and the room was really cold. Even with the heat turned all the way up, the bathroom didn’t warm until morning. Cold air leaked through the bathroom window, and the floor was freezing. The place allows pets, there are a few nearby spots to walk a dog, and the worn laminate floors work well when traveling with one. One thing I still can’t explain: there was a loud noise at night that sounded like a foghorn, LOL. Some inexpensive updates would help.

I was riding the Empire State Trail when I stayed here. It’s a basic, no-frills motel, solidly two stars. The room was reasonably clean and quiet, and keeping my bike in the room wasn’t a problem. Considering how close it is to New York City, the price was fair.

For over 100 dollars for one night, this level of filth is shameful. There was so much dust and so many spider webs on the walls and in the corners that I went to the CVS around the corner for Lysol spray and wiped everything down. I couldn’t sleep with that much dust, and all the dirt and dust made my son’s allergies really bad. I have pictures and a video, though I doubt I can upload them. The window doesn’t shut properly and has no screen. This isn’t a 4 or 5 star place, but they should lower the rate if the room is going to be this dirty.

The room was large, but the furniture was old. The front desk wasn’t hospitable, and the tub faucet kept dripping. There was no fridge or microwave.

The price was affordable, and I could bring my pet, which is the motel’s biggest plus. The rooms aren’t nice, but you can sleep there for a couple of nights if that’s all you need. I had to wash the air conditioner filter because it was in this condition.
