Hotel Nevada

The Denny's on site was dependable, and the casino had that old mining town feel instead of anything like flashy Vegas. The place is right in the middle of old Ely and was reasonably priced. It's an old historic casino, so the small rooms have creaks and a bit of noise, but that comes with the era. Mine had been redone, was clean, and had a really comfortable bed. The bathroom was tight but nicely updated and very clean, with plenty of modern outlets and little conveniences. There were photos and memorabilia everywhere, which made the whole place feel like another time. Really enjoyed staying here and would come back when I'm passing through Ely.

The service was excellent, and everyone on staff was very friendly. The hotel has a classic vintage look but is in really good shape, and the room was comfortable and clean. We had a wonderful stay, and even the little casino was spectacular. Five stars from us. Congratulations.

We only stayed one night, but slept really well and would come back. The room was small, as was the bathroom, though both were fine for a short stop. There was a Keurig with coffee pods and a bottle of water in the room. Staff greeted us warmly, and the bar gave us two free drink coupons, good for Bud or Bud Light, a margarita, soda, or bottled water, plus two $5 Denny's coupons that we didn't use. Our front facing room got some light from the buildings, but it wasn't too bad. It's a fun little spot right in downtown small Ely.

We only stopped to eat at the Dennys, and the food wasn't good. The restroom was closed for mopping when I tried to use it, and the guy kept it shut for about half an hour. I don't know why such a small bathroom took so long. The hotel is historic, which is nice, but the whole place felt grimy and smelled strongly of cigarette smoke. I definitely wouldn't recommend the Dennys.
