Vera was so helpful and an absolute sweetheart. We brought our dog, and the place was dog friendly too. I’d definitely stay here again if we’re back in the area.

We stayed two nights at the Rustic Inn motel, 9/14 and 15, 2025, and had a great time. The motel is very clean, including the grounds, and its angled layout kept things quiet even with road construction nearby. The owner is delightful, hardworking, and clearly keeps a tight ship to make sure guests are comfortable. I’d stay again if I’m in Ely. The only thing I might ask is for a little less scented cleaner in the room. I’ll pass that along, though I can see it comes from her extra care for the place and its guests. We even added a day to explore the town, museums, and history, and it was well worth it.

Vera, the Owner/Manager, gave us advice for a nice dinner in Ely, and we’re looking forward to coming back when we travel this way again. My wife and I stayed one night on a road trip, our first time in the area. Our room, #10, was scrupulously clean and neat, with a fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, iron and board, plus thoughtful extras like bottled water and snack bars. It’s a well-restored and maintained older motor court motel in a safe, clean area. The courtyard is attractive, with chairs, tables, and benches. We sat outside to enjoy the sunset and early evening. The room has new carpet, lighting, shower, decor, and quiet dual-pane windows. The bed was comfortable, and our usual 2-inch memory foam topper made it even better. These are small, standard rooms with outside entrances, so there isn’t much space, but you can park right in front and don’t have to climb stairs. A nice setup for a night or two. Vera is very kind and friendly.

The landscaping is lovely, and my favorite part was sitting outside my room in the morning, soaking up the sun with a coffee. Ahhh, just my kind of place. I wish I could give it ten stars. Thank you, Ms Vera. The Rustic Inn is anything but rustic. It’s extremely clean inside and out. Our room had coffee, a coffeemaker, bottled water, a snack, a refrigerator, and a microwave. The bedding and bathroom were clean, too. Vera, the owner, saw us sitting outdoors and stopped to check that we had everything we needed. That’s never happened anywhere I’ve stayed.
