The bar and restaurant are a real plus. Breakfast is easy to grab each morning, the food is good, and the bar works well for a drink after the game. The staff are great, and the hotel is usually neat and tidy. If your child is playing at Lake Point, the location is hard to beat. We could walk across the parking lot just five minutes before a game. I love the Element in Cartersville and wish I could give its location 10 stars. A couple of things to know: EV chargers are available, but they’re ChargePoint, take some setup, and are incredibly expensive. Also, avoid the 4th floor if you can. Being under the rooftop bar and restaurant makes for a miserable stay.

Skyline Bistro on the 5th floor was a highlight, with a great atmosphere, attentive and genuinely friendly servers, and a view over the baseball fields. The food was fantastic. I’d recommend the chicken Alfredo, mozzarella sticks, and flatbread pizzas, and they make excellent cocktails. Weekend live music adds to the atmosphere. Mornings start well with complimentary hot breakfast, including delicious pancakes and eggs made to order. Our room was clean and spacious, with a full-size refrigerator, mini cooktop, microwave, and dishwasher, which made a several-day stay convenient. The front desk staff were friendly and helpful throughout. Element and Skyline Bistro impressed us, and this is the best place to stay if you’re visiting LakePoint Sports Complex.

Breakfast is the real deal. Gabriel makes it right in front of you. The manager, Tracy, I believe, and the rest of the staff go out of their way to help. As a Gold Bonvoy member, this is one of the better Marriotts I’ve stayed at. If you’re here for a baseball weekend, expect it to be crowded and busy. And the location, location, location is hard to top.

Tracy Wilson, the manager on duty, went above and beyond after a mix-up with our late checkout. We had arranged to stay until 2:00pm, but came back to find the room cleaned out, including about half of the food we’d planned to eat for lunch. Our bags were already in the car, so I can see how housekeeping got confused, but we had the DND sign up and Tracy had confirmed the late checkout. She called the in-house restaurant, got approvals, and arranged replacement meals at no charge. The flatiron steak and lobster roll were very good. She’d stayed overnight after a fire alarm and was still handling things after being on her feet for well over 24 hours, with a smile and a good sense of humor. She’s a STAR, and I wish more hotels had a “Tracy” on staff. We were here for a LakePoint volleyball tournament, not our first, and enjoyed the stay. The rooms are nice, well-appointed, and CLEAN. Some kids pulled a fire alarm, but staff quickly figured out what happened and got everyone back inside with little inconvenience. We’ll keep staying here for the many more volleyball tournaments ahead. If you’re here for the same reason, you really can’t beat it.

Breakfast was the best part of our stay. Issac Ramirez was professional and attentive, and even made breakfast to go because my wife couldn’t leave the room. His care really stood out. The room, though, was dirty when we arrived. There were hairs throughout and it just felt unclean, which surprised me because I travel a lot and Marriott properties rarely make me question cleanliness. Element is usually one of my favorite brands for its modern feel and consistency, but this location fell short of what I expect. I hope management addresses the housekeeping. I usually recommend this brand highly.
