Travel Inn & Suites

Dead bugs were on the floor and in the shower, and they gave us a handicapped room with no towels. There was no ice, either. I booked on the website because our family was staying there, but they paid half what we did. At least the lady at the front desk was very nice. Thank goodness it was only a place to lay our heads.

Travel Inn worked for us. We wanted a clean room at a reasonable price, and the owner-operators were very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we were happy. The mattress could use an upgrade, but we were pleased with the stay. Can't beat it for the price.

I won't book here again. I called on November 22nd 2024 and reserved a room for May 30-June 1st 2025, for Unbound weekend. With two weeks to go, I called to confirm and found there was no room under my name. I can only assume they somehow messed up my name or cleared the bookings for Unbound weekend before they could raise the prices. There isn't a single available room within an hour of Emporia now. I had a bad feeling after the first call that this might happen, and I still have the call log showing I called the day after I got through the lottery selection to book directly with them. Or so I thought. This would have been my second time staying here. Last year, we booked America’s Best across the street at short notice for Unbound, but the pet-friendly room was absolutely gross. We checked this place out and found it much cleaner and somewhat updated, a pretty good deal for the price. That's why I decided to use them again this year.

The room was very clean and smelled good. The floor could have been a bit cleaner, but all in all it was a perfect stay.
