The food was great, and I liked how well decorated and appointed everything was. The pool and hot tub are awesome, plus there’s a sauna and cold plunge. The spa was fully booked, so we couldn’t use it. The big letdown was the road noise: with the windows open, we heard the highway instead of the ocean, and I couldn’t enjoy sitting outside without traffic in the background. We asked to move to a room closer to the water, but none were available. Without that noise, I’d have given the place five stars.

Kiana at Vaga made the stay especially nice. She remembered us from a previous visit and took great care of us again. We had a pool and ocean view room, our favorite so far, and fell asleep with the door open to the sound of the waves. We also got to use all the hotel amenities. See you soon!

The room’s ocean view and balcony were lovely, even on a foggy morning. The hotel looks out over the coast, and though the pool and fire pits are small, neither felt crowded during our stay. Angel, the valet and bellman, was warm, helpful, and knew his stuff. Bethany from the in-room dining team was just as welcoming. A few other staff members came across as a little aloof, though nobody was rude. It’s a beautiful setting and a lovely hotel. I’d be happy to come back.

Everything moved quickly, from the elevators to valet, and the staff were incredible. The property is stunning, and I had an amazing stay. Breakfast was delicious, too. Do try the spa, it felt so soothing and relaxing inside.

We loved being able to borrow the complimentary electric bikes and surfboards to enjoy the beach and explore nearby. The outdoor sauna, pool, and infinity hot tub all face the ocean, and sunset was a lovely time to relax there. There’s also direct access to the beach, an indoor gym, and valet parking that made things easy. The staff were friendly and attentive. The whole property feels modern, calm, and thoughtfully designed, with stunning ocean views. It was exactly the relaxing coastal break we needed at Alila Marea Beach Resort Encinitas.
