Twelve Senses Retreat

The Air room had a small balcony with a hammock, and even the shower in the middle of the room added something unusual and memorable. Each room has its own feel inspired by the elements, and ours was comfortable and beautifully designed. We loved the warm welcome from the host and felt at home right away. Breakfast was thoughtfully prepared and delicious. There’s also an outdoor sauna and hot tub, plus a rooftop patio with tables and a cozy fire pit that would work well for a small gathering or celebration. My husband and I booked massages there, and they were amazing. The house is about a five-minute drive from the beaches and historic 101 highway, with lots of shops and restaurants along the way for a scenic drive.

The service and hospitality were even better than we expected, and breakfast was delicious. We loved how much thought went into the details. The room was beautiful, the bed comfortable, and both the shower and tub were lovely. We also enjoyed the sauna and the yoga mats in the common area. The beach is less than a 10-minute drive away, though too far to walk. We’d definitely return.

My wife and I rented the rooftop for my 40th birthday and booked all four rooms for our friends. We got to unwind in the hot tub and sauna before the party. The chef made amazing heavy appetizers, and my friends are still talking about the food. The next morning, they put together a lovely brunch on the roof, a perfect way to wrap up the weekend before checkout. This place is an amazing hidden gem, and I highly recommend it.

We had a perfect staycation for our first wedding anniversary. The owners were kind, thoughtful, and accommodating, and there were so many fun amenities. I have celiac disease, and they made me a safe breakfast, which was such a treat. We stayed in the beautiful Fire Room, with an amazing bed and incredible bathroom products. The location was great and the rooms were relaxing. We’ll definitely be back.
