Days Inn by Wyndham Englewood Denver Tech Center

The location is convenient, close to activities and the things you need, but the building smells like meth, heroin, and pure depression. The rooms are disgusting, and there are homeless people around. It could have been a three or four star stay, but several problems brought it down to one. When I arrived, room 312 had a broken door handle hanging off. They moved me to room 213 by the stairwell, where I found bed bugs. The room was still messy, the shower towels were damp, and it looked like housekeeping hadn’t touched it. I went straight to the front desk. They moved me to a ground-floor room that I assume was a master suite, and said the manager would contact me about a possible refund. I still haven’t received a call, email, or text, so this review will stay up until that happens. Don’t waste your money or time here.

I got off my plane and went to check in, only to be given a room that was under construction. Then they said there were no rooms left, even though I’d booked one. It was 2 a.m., and they sent me to another hotel, saying everything would transfer over. The staff there had no idea what I was talking about. When I called the woman from this hotel, she acted like she barely remembered me from five minutes earlier, then said there actually was a room available. I asked to cancel, but she refused because I’d booked through a third party, even though they clearly hadn’t sorted anything out. I finally got a room and tried to work, but construction started at 10 a.m. I hate this place, and they won’t let me cancel.

The floor was dirty when we walked in, with paint and other stuff stuck to it. We were told the room had a microwave, so we bought things to heat up, but there wasn’t one. There were coffee packets but no coffee pot, and no hand soap. Our keys worked that morning, but we couldn’t get back in that evening. Wish we’d stayed somewhere else.

I found this hidden gem while driving through the area on a trip between states. Mariza at the front desk was welcoming and very helpful when I checked in. The room was in good shape, and they even provided complimentary breakfast in the morning. I’ll stay here again next time I travel to Denver.
