I always like staying at LaQuinta. The breakfast is plentiful, and there’s a coffee maker in the room. Bathrooms have dispensers for hand soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner, plus lots of towels, usually extra blankets, and more than two pillows. The full length mirrors are built into the closet doors, which is handy for business travelers. Some locations also have phone charging outlets. They offer military discounts, and there are locations along Hwy 45 from Houston to Dallas.

Just okay, and pretty rough for the price. The place feels very outdated, the room smelled musty, and there were ceiling stains that might have been mildew or mold. The hallway carpet is old and loose and needs replacing. I passed on the breakfast both days because it looked bad.

The manager sorted out the room issue by giving us another room at no charge after the Wyndham website had the wrong information. Breakfast was really good, and I’d recommend staying here.

I booked a month ahead and had a confirmed rate, but when I arrived the reservation wasn’t handled as agreed. Staff said they had no record of that price and raised it significantly. I had proof of the original booking, yet they wouldn’t recognize it, apologize, or offer compensation. The front desk was dismissive and unhelpful throughout. I travel a lot and haven’t run into this kind of dishonest treatment at a hotel before. It felt like a bait and switch. I’d tell others to stay somewhere else unless they’re willing to risk being charged more when they get there.

Very clean and quiet, and a convenient spot for us. Freddy's and McDonald's are both close enough to walk to.
