The room itself had only a few things I liked: the chair, tables, and floor. The rest was a rough stay, and I won't return. The bed and pillows had hair and stains, so my partner and I cleaned them off before sleeping. I changed my mind about showering after seeing the tub, and the towels and rags were stained too. The door looked badly chewed and scratched, the curtains had large slashes, and the air conditioner made such rough noises that we thought someone might be outside trying to get in. At check-in, the front desk person was rude and charged us more than the online price. He put us in a smoking room without asking whether we smoked. I thought it was a non-smoking hotel, though I don't usually stay in hotels and should probably have asked. I have asthma, so I was glad I had my inhaler. When it was time to leave, they were rude about checkout, and hadn't told us the checkout time, so we were rushing to get into the room. If you want somewhere romantic, clean, and safe, look elsewhere.

For a night or two, it may do if all you need is a TV, bed, and roof, but the rooms need a lot of work. There were holes in the walls, shabby curtains, a dead outlet by the bed, and only one chair despite the huge table and desks. Nothing seemed very clean. The pillows were terrible, and the thin, cheap blankets and comforter weren't much better. The refrigerator kept making loud noises through the night. Smoking rooms didn't have ashtrays, and there was no door notice with checkout details or other standard information. The nightstand also had no Bible, which most motels have. The online rate showed $36, but it wasn't clear that applied only online and on certain days. We were charged $60.

It's a cheap, laid-back motel, so don't expect anything fancy. The guy at the front desk is cool.

Keep expectations low if you book here. The room was basic, seemed fairly clean, and had a few broken fixtures. Nobody was at the desk when I arrived, and I was about to leave when the desk man returned after dealing with an unruly person. At checkout the desk was empty again, so I left my card in the room and headed out. I wouldn't bring my family here.

The new AC unit in our room was great, and the room was very nice and clean. The employees treated my family like regular guests. I locked myself out in the middle of the night, but they still came to the window smiling and made me a new key. We'll definitely be back regularly.
