The room was dirty, with dirt and pine needles in the corners, and the fireplace still had piles of old logs and ash. The pool and hot tub were also unkempt and dirty, and the pool heater was broken on 3/28/26. Nobody warned us ahead of time. The hot tub was only warm, and the sauna barely got above the 70s or 80s on two of the three times I tried it. The amenity and room info app wasn’t working right, and we weren’t told we had to reserve a shuttle spot somehow. WiFi went out, which was outside their control, but then it was impossible to reach the lodge after hours. The rooms are better than silver skis, but silver skis is more reliable, especially for the pool. Management seems to be struggling. I hoped they’d offer a discount because this wasn’t worth what we paid.

For what we paid, I won’t book here again. We rented two units for four people, paying $500 for the larger one and $300 for the one-bedroom, though I think each should have cost under $100. The larger unit had two bedrooms, but one was a loft that was too hot and extremely hard to climb into. Both units had problems: missing lightbulbs, trash left in the bins, no shampoo or conditioner, torn furniture, only decaf coffee, and shower knobs missing. This used to be such a wonderful place when it first opened, but it now looks like no money is going toward maintenance. I understand the place is bankrupt, but they shouldn’t put the staff through any more pain.

The location was great, and the heat and fireplace both worked. There’s no AC, but we didn’t need it. The room was clean, though the furniture looked like it was on its last legs. We enjoyed the hot tub and sauna, but skipped the pool since it was cold and cloudy. The walls are very thin, and upstairs neighbors woke us up. Our receipt came out a little higher than the direct website quote, even though it said all taxes and fees were included.

The shuttle was probably the best part, though we couldn’t use it on check-in day. The rooms were old and dated, and didn’t look like the website pictures. One towel was stained and dirty. At $700 a night, it just wasn’t worth it.
