The spot worked well for exploring northern Door County since it’s near the center of the peninsula. We got a last-minute deal on a Deluxe Suite with a hot tub, though we didn’t use it. The bathroom and shower were spacious, but I would have preferred a small table and two chairs. The balcony was pleasant, except the air conditioner blows hot air right where you’d sit. WiFi was unreliable, and even cell service was spotty in our room, which was far back on the hotel’s northeast side. It wasn’t a great place to handle business on a phone.

The trees were turning into their full fall colors, and the lake had whitecaps from the wind. We visited in the third week of October, when the weather shifts around and many services are about to close, either the following week or on November 2. There were few tourists and fishers around, which made it a great time to experience upper Door County. Our room had a king bed, two comfortable chairs, a TV, microwave, coffee service, and refrigerator.

We’ve stayed in hotels all over the US, and Ephraim Shores Resort ranks among the nicest for me. The place was very clean, the pool and hot tub were amazing, and the service was top notch. I only wish I could have stayed longer. If you’re heading to Door County, I recommend it.

We’ve stayed here every time we’ve visited. The rooms are very clean, the staff are friendly, and the location makes it easy to get around Door County. Across the street, you can watch beautiful sunsets over the bay of Green Bay. Ephraim Shores Resort is a wonderful place.

This was our second stay at Ephraim Shores, and we enjoy coming here. The rooms are clean and a nice size, and the service is great. There’s a lovely indoor pool and whirlpool, plus a beach area of their own across the street. They also have a very nice restaurant on the second floor. Great location, too.
